A few words about me:
I’m a designer and creator, and I live in Kfar Uriyah with Roo, our two sons, Yehu and Tekhelet, in an odd house in the midst of nature and two dogs.
I have been creating and building for many years. I’m always searching for the new, the exciting and the stimulating, and I usually find what I’m looking for in materials: the essence of the material and the unlimited possibilities it opens up.
I love hiking in the desert. Much of my inspiration comes from there – the clefts of the rocks, the twists of the river channels, the vast openness. That is why I chose to have Eilam Workshop in a place saturated with natural space.
My creativity is always channeled towards something useful, such as tables, chairs, or light fixtures. I really have no idea why that is…
As a creator, my path has been an independent one of trial and error and teaching myself. That is how I continue to learn and develop and that is how I make discoveries and renew my work. And sometimes I also find myself veering from the path…
Twenty years ago, with no background and no experience, I started all of this because I had a fierce desire to create and build. I’m self-taught and continue to learn all the time. Later on, I built a workshop where I started to understand how to work professionally in different materials.
Over the years, I have created, designed, and built a vast range of furnishings and design projects for homes and businesses using many different materials and techniques.
Today, after many years of creation and achievements, owning a sophisticated workshop and production space capable of realizing every creative dream, and having a talented and skilled team helping me do this, I can look back at the road I’ve taken until now and express gratitude for all the blessings that have been bestowed on me.
I love to cook, I love to hike, and I love Roo, my life partner.
I crave to create all the time, to create more, to discover and to touch, to be excited and to excite.
